Are you concerned about misinformation your child might encounter online?
In today's rapidly evolving digital landscape, young people are constantly immersed in a vast ocean of information and content. The Uthryve Network's Youth Media Literacy Program is designed to equip children and young adolescents (aged 5-15) with the essential skills to navigate this complex environment, becoming not just consumers, but also critical thinkers and responsible creators of media.
The Youth Media Literacy Program is built around key objectives designed to foster a comprehensive understanding and application of media skills:
Develop Critical Media Analysis Skills: Enable participants to assess the value, authenticity, authority, and intention of the information they encounter.
Foster Creative Storytelling Abilities: Teach children to craft compelling narratives that communicate effectively across diverse media formats.
Build Age-Appropriate Technical Skills: Provide hands-on experience with media production tools, including basic filming, editing, and audio recording.
Promote Responsible Media Consumption and Creation: Instill ethical principles and responsible practices in both consuming and creating media content.
Enhance Digital Citizenship: Prepare children to participate positively and safely in digital environments.
Our program is structured around five core modules, each designed with interactive and engaging activities:
Don't let your child be left behind in the digital age. Give them the tools to thrive online!
