Child Level
Activities that build life skills and self-esteem, connect children to social networks, and provide counselling for those affected by abuse, drugs, or alcohol
We understand that true care goes beyond meeting physical needs—it’s about nurturing the mind and spirit as well. That’s why we support the UpperRoom initiative, dedicated to providing vital counselling and rehabilitation for orphans and vulnerable children in care centers.
Empowering Emotional Resilience for Vulnerable Children
Children in orphanages and vulnerable communities often face trauma, loss, and emotional hardship. Yet, there’s a shortage of professionally trained counsellors in the sector. UpperRoom bridges this gap by equipping caregivers and volunteers with the tools and knowledge to offer effective psychosocial support.
Through counselling, children learn to cope with hardships, build self-esteem, and prepare for future challenges—not just as children, but as adults too.
What UpperRoom Offers
We are developing a comprehensive counselling toolkit in collaboration with policy makers and child protection experts. This toolkit covers:
Activities that build life skills and self-esteem, connect children to social networks, and provide counselling for those affected by abuse, drugs, or alcohol
Training for caregivers to communicate effectively, identify at-risk children, and provide basic psychosocial support during times of illness or crisis.
Raising awareness and understanding of the psychosocial needs of vulnerable children, building a more supportive environment for healing and growth
